Optimization of a method to evaluate varnish adherence degree of treated wood
Abstract
The conditions of the services of the wood used in exterior joinery (hazard class 3) make it easily attackable by wood decay and blue-stain fungi. In consequence is necessary a priming preventive treatment, followed by a decorative coating (EN-152, EN-330). In several occasions, the priming treatment applied to the wood can produce some problems of incompatibility with the coating products (lackering, paints and varnishes). In this work has been optimized a methodology to determine the surface coating compatibility with the treated wood. The proposed method permit to quantity the adherence degree of the decorrative products in a simple and precise way.Downloads
