Phytoclimatic characterization of experimental sites of Lanjarón (Southern aspect of Sierra Nevada)
Abstract
Climate and phytoclimate aspects of various areas belonging to an experimental forest location in Sierra Nevada, Lanjaron (Granada) southeast Spain, are described. Many of them have been settled with an important number of tree species experimentation plots for as many sixty years. To overcome the lack of local data, those of six nearest, including one serving as a reference, meteorological stations were used to obtain an estimate of altitudinal precipitation and temperature gradients that are used to calculate basic climatic variables and the climodiagrams of Gaussen - Walter. Results allow us to classify the zones into phytoclimate classes with a bigger accuracy.Downloads
