What to take into account to develop cork weight models?: review and statistical considerations
Abstract
In this paper we present a critical revision of the published cork yield models at tree and stand level with the aim of underlying the different issues that need to be taken into account in such models. After stressing the importance of this kind of models in the management of cork oak forests, the review focuses in their statistical aspects, from the variables that are used, functional forms, fitting methods and variable selection to the analysis of the initial hypothesis and validation.Downloads
