Forest Systems presents a special issue entitled “Smart forestry for improving territory alliances” focused on the current knowledge in Forestry on mitigation and adaptation to climate change, governance and social integration, forest management, bioeconomy, habitats and biodiversity, biotic and abiotic risks, soil and water regulation and decision support systems for their management, where digitalization, data science and ecosystem services play a main role.

Through the work of experts from different forest disciplines, this special issue will showcase the latest advances and perspectives related to these resources, providing new insights for research, resource management and economic and social development.
